    PHC constant wattage cable is composed of multiple constant electric power zones, a fine heating element is wrapped around two insulated parallel bus wires, then on alternating sides of the conductors a notch is made in the insulation. The heating element is then normally soldered to the exposed conductor wire which can create a heating circuit; this is then repeated along the length of the cable. An inner jacket separates the bus wires from the grounding braid. Outside the shield braid, an additional outer jacket of Fluoroplastic is applied, which Plays an important role in enhancing corrosion protection.

    Our J3 type constant wattage heating cable is designed with an working temperature up to 130ºC, while the maximum resistance temperature can reaches at 205ºC, which makes it an ideal way of heat tracing in various industrial applications.
    J4 typed constant wattage heat tracing cable (also called PHC heating cable)is designed with an operating temperature up to 180ºC, while the maximum tolerance temperature can reaches 260ºC.

    The twin copper bus wires inside the cable provide a reliable, consistent electrical current, protected by an insulate jacket which holds the two bus wires together and provides the wrapping surface for the nichrome heating wire.The nichrome resistance wire plays a role as the heating component. An anti corrosive insulation jacket made from FEP material assures the electrical heating cable a longer service life. Over 85% parts are covered by metal braid which can enhance the stability, also provides a positive ground path. An optional fluoropolymer outer jacket can be added to make the cable even more explosion-proof and corrosive resistance.
